Food and some misc. medical supplies for nearly 27, 000 plus people are arriving in convoys. But it isn’t enough. You would need at least 3 convoys a week to even start to reach the population in most need.
There are nearly 400,000 thousand people in Eastern Ghouta who are trapped inside. Aid trucks are leaving before their allotted time, and before they can unload their trucks, because of all the shelling.
Idlib is the last area beyond government control, and this area too could be the Syrian government’s next target. This could present even more humanitarian aid needs. There is nowhere to hide but many places one can go to die in Syria.
SAVE THE CHILDREN, UNICEF and other humanitarian aid organizations are pushing forward in asking for help in preparation of the many that will flee or be rescued from Syria. There is a great need for food and healthcare.
